Overview

Affiliate programs are facilitated through one of our approved providers:

• Arcadia Abroad
• CEA-CAPA
• CIEE
• IES Abroad
• IFSA
• ISEP
• University of Manchester (Faculty of Humanities and Biosciences programs)

Our partners provide experiences for all majors, including language, service, internship, and career-focused opportunities. Certain programs may hold classes at a provider鈥檚 center, or you may have the option to enroll directly in a university abroad. Placement is generally guaranteed if eligibility requirements are met. Affiliate partner programs are available in the fall, spring, and summer academic terms.

Length 

Affiliate programs range in length from a single week during the summer to a full academic semester in the fall or spring.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a fall or spring affiliate program, participants must be full-time, traditional students with a minimum 2.5 GPA, though some specific programs may require a higher average. Semester participants must be classified as a sophomore or junior at 麻豆网 during time abroad. Additionally, students must be in good standing with 麻豆网 (academically, financially, health records, and conduct).

Summer affiliate program participants must meet the above requirements; however, summer opportunities are open to all classifications upon approval from the external provider.

For fall and spring semesters, students must enroll in a minimum of 12 credit hours while studying abroad. Courses must be approved prior to departure and will affect your Morehouse GPA. Scholarship recipients should verify and adhere to specific credit requirements as outlined by their individual funding sources. Please choose a program that offers courses that most closely align with your degree plan. We strongly recommend students study abroad for a semester during their sophomore year to allow for maximum course flexibility.

Summer programs do not have a credit minimum. Credits earned from summer are accepted as transfer credit.

Cost

Semester (Fall & Spring) 

The Office of International Education provides a list of 麻豆网-approved programs that you can browse . Approved affiliate programs start at $10,000 and are capped at $20,000.

Payment for semester programs is conveniently made through TigerPay. External financial aid (Pell Grants, Lomax, OWSP, etc.) may be applied; however, institutional scholarships may not be utilized.

The Office of International Education provides a $1,000 stipend to directly support students in studying abroad for external partner programs. The OIE stipend can be redeemed once during a student鈥檚 Morehouse matriculation.

We encourage you to visit our 鈥�Financial Aid & Scholarships鈥� page for more information about how to fund your trip. Individual affiliate providers also offer scholarships of up to $9,000 to make studying abroad more affordable.

Summer Term 

Summer affiliate programs start at $1,200. Programs often include accommodation, in-country activities, and academic credit. Students are responsible for purchasing their own international airfare and any incidental costs.

The Office of International Education provides a stipend of $500 for 1 to 4-week programs, and $1,000 for 5+ week programs. The OIE stipend can be redeemed once during a student鈥檚 Morehouse matriculation. Affiliate providers offer funding of up to $3,000 to offset costs.
